For over 12 years, Seaside Hounds, owned and operated by Jessica Price, has been South Orange County’s trusted pack-run and dog-socialization service. What began as a passion for rescuing dogs in Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving program dedicated to helping dogs live happier, healthier, and more balanced lives through structured outdoor adventures.
“At Seaside Hounds, we believe exercise and socialization aren’t luxuries—they’re essential,” says Jessica. “Dogs are natural pack animals, and when they run, play, and explore together, they gain confidence, reduce anxiety, and learn valuable social skills.”
The Seaside Hounds’ program gives every dog the chance to thrive—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Each day, experienced pack leaders guide small, carefully selected groups of six to eight dogs on exhilarating pack runs on scenic trails and/or to the beach. Pick-ups and drop-offs are included, making it easy and convenient for busy owners to give their dogs the adventure they deserve. Safety and harmony are always priorities; every outing matches dogs with similar temperaments and energy levels. Whether your pup is a social butterfly or a shy newcomer, Seaside Hounds’ team ensures a positive, enriching experience every time.
They also switch up environments to keep things fresh and engaging. Some days, the group runs take place on their private 2½-acre property, a fully enclosed space where dogs can safely run free, play, and explore off-leash.
“Running off-leash releases the kind of pent-up energy that simply can’t be burned on a leash—helping dogs let go of stress, focus their minds, and return home calm and content,” says Jessica. “The variety builds confidence, adaptability, and joy.”
Summer, Jessica’s niece, is a valued part of Seaside Hounds and a skilled pack leader who brings the same care, consistency, and passion to the business. They provide an environment where structure and fun go hand in hand—a place where dogs can burn energy, learn manners, and return home fulfilled and happy.
