At just 24 years old, Aubrey Davenport is already making her mark in the fashion industry as the founder of SALT THE LABEL. Born and raised in Southern California, Aubrey grew up immersed in a lifestyle defined by the California Coastline and bikini weather. Her early years spent near the ocean shaped her deep appreciation for swimwear fashion and cultivated her eye for design. Throughout her teenage years, she gravitated toward iconic surf brands, such as Billabong, eventually turning that passion into professional experience by interning with Boardriders during college. That opportunity solidified her desire to create a brand of her own – one that combined her love for California’s laidback swim culture with a timeless, elevated touch.
Upon graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Aubrey launched SALT THE LABEL in 2023. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and her passion for design, she began sourcing premium fabrics directly from Italy and manufacturing her collections in the United States. Each piece embodies her commitment to sustainability, quality, and classic style.
Recently, Aubrey returned home after earning her master’s degree in Fashion Brand Management at Polimoda Fashion School in Florence, Italy. Her time at POLIMODA was transformative, deepening her understanding of high-quality construction, European tailoring, and sustainable design practices. It was there that she envisioned growing her brand, merging Italian influence with her California roots.
Aubrey’s mission is clear: to offer women top-quality, eco-conscious swim and resort wear that makes them feel powerful, beautiful, and timeless. Her designs carry the essence of both worlds – the relaxed ease of California and the refined elegance of Italy. Beyond her love for design, Aubrey hopes to inspire young women to pursue their passions fearlessly, no matter how bold their dreams may seem.
