Specialty work is not always the most profitable, but it keeps us true to our niche and opens the door to referral business.”
It is not just size or shape. Working closely with interior designers, Gary often builds mattresses to fit seamlessly within custom bed frames or unusual spaces. He has even created beds that conceal hidden safes or gun storage beneath the frame for clients who value both luxury and security. “Sometimes it’s a decorative bed with no center support, sometimes it’s a radius corner, or even a mattress designed to float over a lightbox. Our job is to make it work without sacrificing comfort,” he says.

While “organic” has become a buzzword in the industry, Gary takes a different approach: education. “What we do isn’t new. It’s the way mattresses were built 100 years ago.
